We lost a brave warrior with a warm soul. We lost a colleague who, in pursuit of every important argument in Philippine cinema, hopes for all its betterment. But everything you did stays. Everything you did will be here forever. In memory of you, we shall continue. This morning reeks of sadness – -the painful sadness that will always be remembered.

Hi! What happened? Im a filmmaker form Davao (Philippines) and alexis has been a staunch supporter of our works here. Im shocked to hear about his demise
There is no official news yet, but he and his girlfriend Nika Bohinc were killed in Alexis’ house in Quezon City. Shocked and deeply saddened.

i’m still in shock. it is such a great loss for Philippine cinema.
heard about it just now from the evening news. saddening… i don’t know what to think. things just happen when you don’t expect it and to those whom you do not expect it to happen to…
P.S. So the misfortune took place on September 1st?
yes, last night. sir velasco’s book was launched at bernal gallery yesterday too, in time for his death anniversary.

I cannot bear this news. i was hoping to get an answer for my comment (Aug 30 [http://alexistioseco.wordpress.com/2009/08/29/dear-film-development-council-of-the-philippines/#comment-369]) on his latest blog entry and after checking the net two days later, there it is, a blog from oggs telling everything about it. my comment on his blog remains to me a great mystery. What would be Alexis’ answer on that? I still have the feeling that i may have his answer one day.
